A Time For Change

Sometimes, when something isn’t working for you, you need to make a change. It’s actually something I touched on here in the past, if I remember correctly. My life seems to constantly be changing paths as I learn more and want to do more in the future.

I just had to make a huge change that I’m in the process of adjusting to. One that I need to do for productivity sake. As an online student and a freelance writer and blogger, a huge amount of what I do is done online. I want to have more time to focus on my schoolwork, finding freelance writing opportunities, building this blog, and just writing in general, really.

Unfortunately, the internet is a big distraction, especially if part of your job requires being on the computer all day. Facebook was probably one of my biggest problems, so I decided to take a break from that to hopefully boost my productivity in more important areas. I actually went so far to hand my account over to a trusted friend and had him change my password and told him to not let me back in until the end of the semester unless some special circumstance happened and I had to be let back in earlier.

Fortunately, the Pages Manager app on my phone still works when the facebook app isn’t downloaded, so you can still expect updates on the Destination: Everyplace Facebook Page! With my trip to LA coming up very soon, I am excited to share that new journey with you all.
Although it is weird to not have access to my personal facebook, I imagine what it feels like to come off a drug and feeling a need to relapse… I can’t wait to see what happens next. It will be interesting! One thing is for sure, you should definitely be expecting a lot more posts here!
