My name is Melissa Schwolow, and I currently reside in Central California. Ever since I was younger and learning more about the world we live in, it’s been a dream of mine to actually get out and actually see the world, making the world my home, rather than sticking to one place. Unfortunately, I was raised believing you had to be rich to travel extensively… I’ve only recently opened my eyes to see you don’t have to be rich to travel around the world.

This blog is to document the journey, from the bare beginning. Right now, I am in the process of saving up for the adventure, researching places I want to go and ways to make it as cheap as possible to stretch my dollar.

As of right now, I work at a job I don’t particularly like, and I will actually be going back to school for a few years starting this upcoming fall, majoring in photography and minoring in entrepreneurial ventures.

So, for now, the blog will be about the build up to the journey, thoughts and processes and interesting things I might find useful for when the time comes to make the leap. Might not be as interesting as the journey itself, but definitely an important process I feel I should document.

Happy reading! 🙂

  1. Hi Melissa! This seems like quite an interesting blog you have going on here, and I like how you have cemented a plan that you have every intent to make happen. I like that. I think too often there are too many wandering souls who don’t know what they want out of life, and while it takes some people longer than others to figure it out, there are some who just don’t bother to put any effort into figuring it out at all. I’m glad to see that you’re taking action on your destiny and I look forward to following your journey!
